She remembers thinking that she would not remember what he looked like. His face was one of those you would forget after looking at it once. His smile was dull as if he was faking it. He had a regular name, a name you heard being called randomly on the road.
Why did she give him a chance then?
Because she was dying to create meaningful relationships or maybe she needed to be heartbroken to feel alive, she was starting to get bored of the regular life.

He had provoked a level of emotion in her, an emotion that if uncontrolled could possibly provoke a level of emotion that could, in fact, be dangerous to her. She knew he didn’t have regular red flags. He WAS a red flag.
𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏!
Some days he has really good days, and he calls her to tell her about it but when she answers the phone she’ll be crying, and suddenly he feels angry.
He thinks, “why does she always have to be so sad?”
He asks her, “what’s wrong?” but he won’t listen to what she says next. He might even put the phone down and make himself a cup of coffee. When the call goes silent he comes back and says, “I’m sorry you’ve had such a difficult day.” And, she knows he was not listening.
𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓!
Not only was he uninteresting in looks but his personality was also ethically challenged. He lied, every word he spoke was a lie. He lied on the phone and in-person and personally, she thought that he lied on a regular basis. Perhaps his lies to her were merely dramatics, and his drama displayed a sense of creativity. But, after all, he lied. And liars end up bulldozing people’s hearts.
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆!
‘Don’t date broken boys,’ her mother told her once. ‘But they deserve to be loved too.’ So she wanted to love the broken boy she thought he was, she just didn’t realize he would break her too. Was it still love if it nullified tenability? Or was it some reckless, stupid passion?
