Forgive and Forget

Forgiveness is what comes after you make your choice, not the choice itself. The choice is acting as if you are healed enough to forgive, or maybe forget. Forgive and forget both the love and the leaving. Forget he was bad for you and you were bad for him too. Forgive the good and the bad. Forget how warm the house gets when he wakes up in the morning. Forgive the fact that he didn’t say I love you back when you said it to him for the last time. Forget the way his voice got softer only when he talked to you.
Forgive and Forget.
Forgive and Forget.
Forgive and Forget.
Forgive and Forget.

.
Repeat until it becomes a routine. Forgive and forget both the love and the leaving.
